Opera omnia

The Opera Omnia (Collected Works), conceived by Professor Franco Demarchi and edited by the sinologists Giuliano Bertuccioli and Federico Masini (University of Rome, ‘Sapienza’), was published by the University of Trento.
As Franco Demarchi writes in his preface to the first volume, ‘demonstrating, a great sensitivity towards one of the most remarkable moments in the intertwining of the history of Trento with the expansion of civilizations worldwide –as the works of Martino Martini do - the University of Trento has decided to reconfirm their importance by publishing his collected works’.
The financial support offered by the Province of Trento was fundamental in allowing considerable archive research which revealed much new information about the distinguished Tridentine missionary and scientist.

The Opera Omnia, which for the first time contains all the works by Martini entirely translated, with comments in Italian, is divided into six volumes (see specific pages), and enriched by an appendix and  selected illustrations.
